1 quart large, ripe strawberries, washed and dried, leaves removed
4 bananas, ripe but firm
2 cups Nutella (or try my homemade “Nutella” recipe here)
1/2 cup each of chopped hazelnuts, toasted coconut flakes, and/or slivered almonds, each topping on a separate plate
Peel the bananas and cut in half. Insert a popsicle stick into each half. Do the same for each strawberry if they are large enough. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place in freezer for 15 minutes. Remove from freezer, then spread each piece of fruit with Nutella. Warning: it will get messy! Sprinkle each piece of Nutella-covered fruit liberally with one of the toppings. Place back on the baking sheet and return to the freezer to chill for 30 minutes before serving.
