Ingredients
1/2 cup sour cream or unflavored Greek yogurt
1 table horseradish sauce
1 table fresh dill (chopped)
1 table Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
4 slices of *Rye bread (lightly toasted)
6 to 8 slices of smoked salmon (Nova)
2 radishes sliced very thin (or cucumbers if you prefer)
1 tablespoon salmon roe
Optional: Thinly sliced red onions, or capers
Salt and pepper to taste
* Alternatively you can use Sourdough, Ezekiel or Wheat bread
Directions
First you’ll make the horseradish sauce which is your spread, then you will assemble the open-faced sandwich. To make the sure, combine in a small bowl, sour cream (or Greek yogurt) with horseradish, chopped fresh dill, parsley, lemon juice. Next, spread this sauce on top of the lightly toasted bread, and top with slices of smoked salmon, radish, fish roe, and optionally, some sliced red onions and/or capers.
Season with salt and pepper.
