Suzy-Cohen-1Dear Readers,
I attended the Natural Products Expo West trade show in California to find healthy, delicious  and unique products. The companies mentioned did not know that I was with the media as I was sampling their goods, and I receive nothing from this:
Raw Coconut Butter by Artisana: Super yummy, this is 100 percent raw organic coconut, and it’s spreadable like peanut butter, yet there are no peanuts, pesticides, trans fats or artificial flavors! www.premierorganics.org

So Delicious Coconut Milk Kefir: I love their coconut creamer for coffee, and they just unveiled coconut kefir which contains 10 live active cultures as well as lauric and capric acid, two substances that support immune function. No soy, dairy, gluten or trans fats. www.turtlemountain.com

Toddler Health Rice Formula:  This delicious rice-based ‘milk’ is free of soy, dairy, gluten and GMO ingredients. If I had a child on formula, THIS would be the one!  Hand down, it is the tastiest milk alternative that I found at Expo. Adults can drink it straight, use in protein shakes, or as a pediatric formula. www.toddlerhealth.net

Glutenfreeda’s Real Cookies: Drool-inspiring! That’s amazing to me because most gluten-free cookies taste like dry socks. I walked by their booth so often to graze on samples, that they became suspicious of me. It’s frozen cookie dough, (pre-cut) you just bake them. www.glutenfreeda.com
Larenim Make up: Mineral-based make-up that is healthy! I love their palette of brilliant eye shadows and soothing foundations which are non-comedogenic, free of irritants, artificial colors and safe for people with acne or rosacea.
Ginger Soother by the Ginger People:  It’s delish if you like ginger; this natural non-carbonated beverage is great for anyone, and can soothe an upset stomach (like for example, if you find yourself running around an Expo sampling dozens of ‘treats’ an hour). www.gingerpeople.com
Teeccino Herbal Coffee:  They unveiled their ‘Tee-bag’ so if you are on the go, you can just open a packet, and enjoy delicious caffeine-free, gluten-free herbal coffee without having to percolate.  It tastes better than regular coffee!
AOI Matcha Green Tea: When I walked by their booth, I felt pulled in energetically. Matcha supports digestion, weight loss, energy and cancer prevention. AOI is the real deal and they use certified organic Japanese Matcha tea plants which are hand picked and processed meticulously. Try “Sweet Matcha Green Tea.” www.aoitea.com
Primitive Lipstick:  Some ladies (like myself) don’t like bug juice (carmine) on their kisser and have to sacrifice tinted lipsticks. It’s the carmine that imparts the reddish-pink hues of virtually all lipsticks. I found a stunning color called “Tahiti” in a moisturizing carmine-free lipstick. www.primitivemakeup.com
Falafel Chickpea Balls by Veggie Patch:  Garbanzo beans (chickpeas) can be mouth-watering! I ate a dozen of these to make my mom proud. They are very natural, and free of trans fats. www.veggiepatch.com
