Hurray for apple season! Studies suggest that apples have compounds in them that can help protect against prostate and colon cancer. Apples have quercetin too, that’s a natural anti-histamine and varicose vein fighter. Apples protect our lungs, and studies hint that they are good for asthmatics. Let’s celebrate together. I made this delicious apple crisp recipe. Even though it’s gluten and dairy-free, and vegan, it will be the BEST YOU EVER TASTE!2 1/2 cups blanched almond flour
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
5 green apples, peeled and sliced (or chopped)
Directions
Put all the clean chopped apples in the bottom of your baking dish (I used a 10 X 10 inch glass one). Mix the dry ingredients (almond flour, granola, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg) and then mix the wet ingredients next. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ones and stir well. Spread this over the the apples. Cover the dish, bake at 350 for about 1 hour. When the apples are juicy and bubbling, remove the cover, and bake another 5 or 10 minutes longer until the top is brown/crisp.
