Ingredients
1 box of chocolate cake mix I used Betty Crocker® Super Moist German Chocolate cake mix
Eggs and Oil which you need for the cake mix
1 package of cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tea vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips, divided
1/4 cup coconut flakes
Directions
Make the chocolate cake mix according to directions on the package you buy, and add the vanilla extract. Pour the cake batter into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan or small individual glass baking dishes. I have a KitchenAid mixer so I beat the cream cheese with the sugar for 2 minutes until light and fluffy with the beater tool, and then change the speed to low and add about half the chocolate chips. You can do it by hand it just takes a little longer. Now swirl the cream cheese mixture together and sprinkle the rest of your chocolate chips on top as well as the coconut flakes. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes until the toothpick comes out clean. Once cooled on a rack (about an hour) you can slice into squares.
